Scarecrow Festival & Contest
A free fun-filled fall celebration for the whole family! Join us for our annual Scarecrow Festival, a heartwarming fall tradition filled with festive fun, creative spirit, and community cheer. Wander through the gardens adorned with handmade scarecrows, enjoy family-friendly activities, and soak in the season’s beauty!
Miniature Landscapes Workshop
Create your own unique landscape for your special spot. Materials: stones, wood, sand, beads and a wide variety of additional items provided. Bring a shallow 8x10 pan or choose from the forms provided. Also bring any items you would like to customize your landscape.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the workshop begins to check in.
All materials are provided unless otherwise noted in the workshop description.

Frost-Proofing Your Garden Workshop
Participate in a demonstration and discussion of items to use to protect your plants from frigid conditions. Water, cinder blocks, frost cloth will be highlighted.

Spring Plant Sale
Celebrate the season of new growth at our Spring Plant Sale, where you’ll find a beautiful selection of native plants, pollinator-friendly favorites, herbs, perennials, and more—grown with care right here at Hearthstone.
Come early for the best selection and enjoy gardening together with fellow plant enthusiasts! Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting to dig in the dirt, our plant sale is the perfect place to find inspiration, advice, and healthy plants to take home. Celebrate spring, discover new plants, and make memories with family and friends in the beauty of the gardens. Knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to help you choose the right plants for your space.
Bring the kids and their baskets for a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt in the gardens! Eggs will be tucked among flowers, trees, and pathways—so keep your eyes open for sweet surprises.
Fall Grapevine Wreaths Workshop
Empty wall? Bare space? Thoughtful gift? Choosing from a selection of wreaths and natural materials from the Gardens plus ribbon spray, yarn, and paint, participants will design their own wreath to take home. Add special touches with anything else you would like to bring.

Pollinator Party
Join us for a “Pollinator Part” and participate in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census. We will learn about pollinators and plants, participate in the count, and have storytime for kids. Join us for this family-friendly event. Hope to see you there!
